Institute Day Map
We are excited to start the new school year at the annual Athens City Schools Teacher Institute Day on Friday, August 1, at Athens High School. Breakfast will be available from 7:30 AM to 8:15 AM in the AHS Cafeteria. Please remember that Institute Day is required, and sign-in sheets will be located at the Arena entrance. Be sure to pick up your special gift sponsored by McKee and Associates and Lee Builders. Our program will start at 8:30 AM in the Arena. You will sit with your school team (look for signs).
Welcome Back!
Dear Faculty and Staff,
Welcome back! I hope you had a relaxing and refreshing summer and found time to recharge. The countdown is on as it’s almost time to open our doors and welcome students to the 2025–2026 school year! ACS Institute Day will be held on Friday, August 1, at Athens High School. You are invited to start the day with breakfast from 7:30 to 8:15 AM in the cafeteria, lovingly prepared and served by the Athens High School Child Nutrition Team. A special thank you to RJ Young for sponsoring this meal!
Parking will be available in the north lot, with friendly greeters ready to guide you to the cafeteria and the Arena. After breakfast, head to the AHS Arena, where you can mingle with vendors before our program begins at 8:30 AM. You will sit with your school team. Look for your school sign! Please remember that Institute Day is required, and sign-in sheets will be located at the entrance of the Arena/Gym.
This year, we’re kicking things off with a high-energy Golden Eagle Spirit Pep Rally to celebrate YOU, our incredible faculty, staff, and administrators! Each school group will have the opportunity to showcase their spirit and excitement for the year ahead. We can’t wait to see what your team brings to the stage! It’s all about connection, pride, FUN and #oneAthens. Let’s make this celebration one to remember as we launch a fantastic new year!
