My name is Alexis Gardner and I am so excited to be a part of the 1st grade FAME Academy at
Brookhill family!
I am currently in my second year of teaching. I have taught 1st grade and 2nd grade in
Memphis, TN. Along with my year long-residency teaching in 1st grade and practicum
experiences in 1st, 3rd, and 4th grades in Cookeville, TN.
I was born and raised in south central Kentucky. After graduating high school in May 2018, I
went to college at Tennessee Tech University in Cookeville, TN and graduated with a Bachelors
of Elementary Education in May of 2021.
I married my husband, Logan, in June 2021 and moved to Memphis, TN the very next day. We
lived in Memphis until January 2023, when we moved to Northern AL for my husband's new job
in Decatur, and so far we are loving every minute of it!
We also have two yorkies who are our babies, Suka (girl) and Luka (boy)!
In my free time, I love traveling, watching Netflix, and spending time with my friends, dogs, and
family.
As an educator, I am very passionate about being a lifelong learner, an encourager, a safe
space for my students, and of course teaching them everything I can! A few of my favorite
things to teach my students about are being kind to everyone, how much they are loved, and
how much they matter not only to me but in the world as well!
