Miss Madi Brown
Hello! I am Madi Brown! Also known as Miss Madi! I have been so happy to be part of the Brookhill Family for the past two years! I am currently pursing my degree in Elementary Education at Athens State University and am in my final year! WOOHOO!! I plan to pursue a Master's Degree in Library Media at UWA once I graduate in December! I graduated high school from James Clemens in Madison. Shortly after graduating, I started my teaching journey at Calhoun Community College so I could explore local schools and see where I wanted to land eventually. I landed at Brookhill THANKFULLY! After completing two years at Calhoun, I transferred to Athens State and am currently still there.
I consider myself to be from AL. Even though I grew up as a military brat and moved many times throughout my childhood. I consider Alabama my forever home. I have been with my sweet boyfriend for 3 years! We love spending time traveling to Ohio to visit family (which is our second home) as well as exploring new places! We currently reside in Madison, Alabama. We love exploring new food places (big foodies)!! We also love watching movies and spending time outdoors!
I come from a long line of educators and I am very passionate about teaching young children. I grew up with educators in my life who changed my life and taught me life lessons that carried on into adulthood. I am so adamant about becoming that teacher as well. I plan to become a teacher like Mrs. Honey in Matilda! I believe it has been my calling and will always be my calling! I love being around kids and teaching them all the things they need to know. I especially love reading aloud to children and exploring all types of literature! I also strongly believe children are meant to have a teacher who is excited about learning every day and being at school. Which is exactly who I am! I am so excited to be part of the BES family and build relationships with all the kiddos and their families!
"Teaching is a calling too. And I’ve always thought that teachers in their way are holy—angels leading their flocks out of the darkness." - Jeannette Walls
