My name is Jennifer Horne.  I am a speech therapist and work at Cowarts (Spark) Academy as well as the Preschool NEst program located at Atens Elementary School.  This is my first year working in Athens City Schools, and I am thrilled to be here!  I've worked as a speech therapist since completing my undergraduate and graduate degrees in speech-language pathology in 1989 at the University of Montevallo.  Following graduation, I worked in many different states including Florida, Hawaii, Kentucky, Tennessee. Ohio West Virginia, and of course, Alabama.  I've worked in a multitude of environments to include schools, hospitals, and community clinics which provides me with unique skills when working with your children.  I am very motivated to provide therapies which contribute to progress in all communication areas. I live in Athens with my husband, two daughters, six chickens and two dogs.  I enjoy growing fresh vegetables in the summer, reading, and all water sports.  I am an Ole Miss fan as well as a UAB dragon.  I currently pay tuition to each school!
