Hello!  My name is Kara Crumbley, and I am so excited to be a Golden Eagle! 

I graduated from Athens State University in 2009 with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.  I have been teaching for 11 years, and it is my second year teaching English Language Arts at AIS.  I taught in New Orleans and Huntsville before relocating to Athens. I graduated in 2020 from Belhaven University with my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.  I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. I have taught several grades, but 4th is by far my favorite. 

I recently got married, and we blended our families together.  I have 5 wonderful children who keep us busy and on the go! When I'm not busy with the children, I love to read, travel to new places, and go hiking or running.  

I knew when I was a little girl that I wanted to be a teacher.  I come from a family of teachers, and I had so many wonderful teachers growing up that really made a difference in my life.  I am very passionate about teaching and helping every student achieve their goals.
