Welcome to the AIS family! My name is Abbey Archer and I will be starting my second year as an EL teacher here.  I am originally from the Chicago suburbs and have lived in the Athens area for the past four years.  I graduated in 2012 from Indiana Wesleyan University with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a Spanish minor.  I am currently in grad school and will earn my Masters degree in Curriculum & Instruction with a Specialization in ESL/Bilingual Education this December.  I have taught kindergarten, third, and fourth grade as well as middle school and high school Spanish, math, and science courses.  My husband, Todd, and I have two boys, Noah (6) and Jordan (4), and are adding a baby girl to our family in September!  In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, camping, being outdoors, baking, and serving in our church.  I absolutely love working with our precious English Language Learners at AIS and look forward to starting another school year with them!
