Welcome to 5th grade at Athens Intermediate School! I am excited to get to know your child and help them learn and grow throughout the year. 

I am a 5th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. This is my seventh year of teaching. I graduated from Athens High School in 2005, and then went on to the University of Alabama at Birmingham to pursue my degree in Elementary Education. I have my Master's in Elementary Education from the University of West Alabama. 

I have been twirling since I was five years old. I was a majorette in college at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and have done choreography for the Athens High School majorettes. I traveled over the United States and competed all the way through my college years. Twirling is a big hobby of mine and will always have a special place in my heart. 

I have been married to my husband, Will, for seven years. We have a two year old baby boy named Luke Henry. He is such a blessing to my life and I love spending every minute that I can with him! I also have two dogs named Olive and June. Any spare time that I get, I love spending time with my family, being outdoors, and twirling.
