I am a native of Decatur, Alabama but currently reside in Athens, Alabama. I graduated from Austin High School. Hobbies of mine are attending musical concerts, sporting events (NBA basketball and SEC football), going bowling, to the movies, and out to eat. I also enjoy reading and writing in multiple genres and coloring. Two aspirations that I have are to become a published writer and to someday become an elementary school principal. My experience as an educator began in 2002 with Decatur City Schools, and I worked 5 years there as a 5th grade self-contained teacher and 5 years as a Reading Coach. My administrative experience began at Athens Intermediate School in 2013 in Athens City Schools. I transferred to Athens High School in 2015 and have since returned to my first love, teaching.
