It is indeed a privilege and an honor to be an educator! Education is my passion! I love working with my students, and helping them to be successful in whatever they desire. In order to be at our best, I believe that we must first begin with a positive and a growth mindset as we seek to accomplish our goals. This is how I approach each and every student as we learn and grow together.
I am a native of Huntsville, Alabama. I graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a Master of Education degree with a focus in differentiated instruction. As an undergraduate, I earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University. Over the years, I have worked with students ranging from first grade up to sixth grade in various capacities. I instruct students in the area of Reading and English Language Arts here at Athens Intermediate School. During the 2021-2022 school year, I was recognized as the Athens Intermediate School Teacher of the Year. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, watching football, traveling, and shopping. I also enjoy spending time with my family and participating in community service.
In closing, I love working with people. I believe that each day I have a chance to make a difference, and I love being a positive motivating force for change.
