About Athens Golf

  • Golf inspires us to try things we never thought we could do. In Athens, golf is a spring sport, but tryouts are held in the fall. The Athens golf program has a boys team and a girls team, and students can try out for the golf team beginning in seventh grade. We believe and live by the words of world-renowned golfer Arnold Palmer, who said, "Success in golf depends less on strength of body than on strength of mind and character." To learn more about our golf program, please contact Head Boys Coach Mike Young at mike.young@acs-k12.org or Head Girls Coach Sloan Acker at Sloan.Acker@acs-k12.org.
