Ms. Lorri Haynes

Lorri Haynes is the K-12 counselor. She is beginning her fourth year with ARS and was named Teacher of the Year in 2017. She served as 12th grade counselor at Sparkman High School in Madison County Schools for twelve years prior to joining the ARS family. She supports our students with academic and personal concerns. She also serves as the NHS and Interact Club Advisor. Ms. Haynes graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science degree in secondary social science education. She also received a Master of Arts in Counseling from the University of North Alabama. This is her twenty-first year working in education. She enjoys spending her free time with her two children, Locklin 20 and Sara Kathryn 14, going to the lake, sporting events, traveling, and just being together. She is proud her children are students within the Athens City School System. It's great to be a Golden Eagle!

Career Coach - Anna Whitfield
ARS is very lucky to have a wonderful career coach that can meet with students and their parents for an individual conference to discuss college and career opportunities. You simply have to email her and get on her calendar. She will be at ARS on Tuesdays. Miss Whitfield's email address is Anna.Whitfield@acs-k12.org. In addition to these individual sessions, Miss Whitfield will also offer a number of group guidance sessions. These sessions will be held at The Exchange Building. Please see below:
