Mrs. Kristin Black

Hi! My name is Kristin Black and I teach Computer Science at Athens High School. I bring 20 years of industry experience working as a Software Design Consultant to the classroom.  Today's economy offers many CS workforce opportunities for our students.  My goal is to enable the classroom to come alive with real world experiences while preparing my students for success with their academic and personal goals.

I am a Co-Advisor for FBLA - Future Business Leaders of America Professionals.  I am also a cheer coach for the Athens High School Cheer program.

I am married to Tab Black and we have two children, Slaton, who is a Freshman at Wallace State playing Baseball and EllaKatherine who is a Junior at AHS.   I love to support my kids in their activities, travel, play/watch tennis, watch Alabama Football and Wallace State Baseball.
