Growing up in Virginia and graduating from Gretna Senior High School in 1985, I imagined there was something else out there for me other than pulling tobacco. I served in the U.S. Army as an Electronic Systems Maintenance Warrant Officer, retiring in 2012 after 26 years. I joined the Athens City Schools community in 2012 and currently serve as the Junior ROTC Senior Army Instructor. Athens High School has an excellent JROTC program which has been dedicated to supporting this community for over 50 years. Our cadets are the "Best in the State". I have been married to my wife Angela for 29 years and we have two daughters, Jasmine 27 and Jade 25.

I enjoy the outdoors, old cars and riding motorcycles. When I am not working with my cadets you can probably catch me somewhere with the wind in my hair :)
