Mrs. Beverly Bobo

I am excited to begin my ninth year of teaching at Athens High School. I am currently teaching Visual Art, Art Production, Photography I, II, and Advanced, as well as AP Studio Art.  I have also been the sponsor of National Art Honor Society for the past five years.  I am a graduate of the University of North Alabama, where I completed a Bachelor degree in Secondary Education and Visual Arts in 2011.  I also hold a class B certification in Secondary English Language Arts and received further certification in AP Studio Art.

I have been in love with art since I could make mud pies.  The ability to create has always been a satisfying and enjoyable experience to me.  I enjoy creating and studying all types of art and artists. I also enjoy spending time with my family, reading, traveling and visiting museums.  I have been very blessed in being able to travel to Maine, Boston, New York, and an unforgettable road trip to the Grand Canyon. My husband Trent and I celebrated our twenty second anniversary this year.  We have a son, Ari, who is a paramedic and a daughter Ayden, an eighth grader.

I also enjoy celebrating the creativity and talents of our art students through working with our community to create art displays, murals and art shows.   I am looking forward to a wonderful year and can't wait to see all the art our students create!
