I am an Athens graduate of the Class of 2001. I went to The University of Alabama where I majored in Pre-med with a preference in Chemistry. I met my wife Allison there and moved to Alexander City, AL. I taught chemistry and physical science at Ben Russell High School there in Alex City. While teaching I got my Masters in Science Education at Auburn University of Montgomery. I moved back to Athens in 2015 with my wife and son Austin to teach science at Athens High School. I have been teaching and coaching since 2006. I currently coach middle school football and Varsity wrestling. One thing I preach to my students and athletes is that you can control 2 things: Effort and Attitude and know one can take that from you.
