Welcome to Athens High School Science!  I have been a teacher for more than 20 years and I LOVE teaching Science.  I grew up in New Castle, Indiana, I earned a bachelor of science in Chemistry from Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana.  I have taught in Indiana, Kentucky, and the last 20 years in Alabama at Athens High School.  I am married to Sean Townsend, a department of defense engineer, and have two children.  When I am not at school, I am ferrying my kids to and from soccer!  I am a huge soccer fan and I also love to read.  I look forward to meeting you and sharing my passion for science with you!
