Hello, I am Mrs. Tammi Malone.  Welcome to Athens Middle School.  This school year is the beginning of my 30th year of teaching. I have taught at AMS my whole teaching career.  During my 29 years, I have taught the following classes:  6th grade math, 7th grade math, 7th grade Prealgebra, 8th grade math,  and Algebra 1.

My husband and I are both graduates of Athens High School.  We have been married 29 years.  We have 2 daughters.  Merritt is the oldest. She is a graduate of AHS 2016.  She is currently attending UNA where she is a majorette for the UNA Pride of Dixie Marching Band.  Shae is our youngest.  She is also a graduate of AHS 2017.  She will be attending UNA, majoring in Nursing.

My goal as your child's teacher this year is to create a love of learning, especially for math.  At the end  of the year, I hope my students will be able to say " I loved being in Mrs. Malone's class and I think I understand math better now."
