Hello! My name is Kimberly Gates. I live here in Athens with my husband Sam, my two awesome girls (Spencer and Sloane), and two rescue animals, Daisy and Lucy.  I love to read, any type of sport, and spending time with my family on the water. We love the river!

This is my 11th year of teaching! I graduated from Athens High School and attended Calhoun where I played softball.  I then graduated from Athens State with a degree in Mathematics and completed my masters at the University of North Alabama. 

I currently teach the Project Lead the Way Engineering and Medical Courses.  (Design and Modeling, Automation and Robotics, and Medical Detectives) I attended and completed all trainings for PLTW at Auburn. I LOVE teaching these hands on and rigorous courses!
