Hello!  I am the art teacher at Spark Academy, where I have been teaching since 2005.  I received my Bachelor's degree from Athens State University, and a Master's in Art Education from Alabama A & M University.  I am married to Kirk, and we have three children and one son-in-law.  In our spare time, we enjoy being together as a family.  I also volunteer as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children.

I LOVE teaching art to children for many reasons, and am thankful every day that I get to do it as my "job"!  I feel especially fortunate to be able to work at this school, where all of our teachers are encouraging children to think outside the box, take risks, and DREAM BIG!  That's what art is all about!

I enjoy creating lessons for our students that are STEAM-based (STEAM= Science, Technology, Engineering, ART, and Math).  I am looking forward to a great year of creativity, imagination, and FUN with Spark Academy students!!
