I graduated from Athens State University in December 2014 with a B.S. in Elementary Education and a minor in Educational Technology. After working as a Title I coach for a semester at Blue Springs Elementary, I was hired as a kindergarten teacher at Julian Newman Elementary and then transferred to SPARK in August 2016. At SPARK, I taught kindergarten for 3 years. I have been awarded “Outstanding Educator of the Year” from Athens State University, presented at FETC, AETC, NATC, Athens State University’s TEACH conference, and local ed camps. I had the privilege of attending Space Academy for Educators in Summer 2016 and made me realize what an amazing resource we have right in our own backyard. I have been a Seesaw ambassador since May 2016 and use it daily in my classroom.
I love teaching and am SUPER excited to work in the WOW lab this year with all studens at iAcademy! They amaze me every day and I enjoy seeing the sparks go off in their minds when they learn something new. I believe students have a genuine passion to learn and it is up to teachers to help develp those passions. Not all students are the same in and I treat each child as an individual and guide them to make good choices. I look forward to getting to know your child this school year in the WOW lab.
