My name is Sara Welcher. This will be my 12^th year of teaching.

I taught 8 years in Kindergarten and this will be my 4th year teaching First Grade. 

I was born and raised in Iowa. I graduated in 2006 from Ashford University with my B.A. in Elementary Education.

Shortly after graduating I moved to Alaska. I subbed for the first 2 years and learned a lot of valuable information you just don’t learn in education classes! I was hired in 2008 and taught Kindergarten for 2 years before moving to Alabama.

July of 2010 my family and I moved to Athens. We have loved every minute of being a resident of Athens! I was hired in 2012 at Brookhill Elementary and have been blessed to call it home.

I live on the West side of town with my husband Randy. We have 3 children; Drew, Daisy, Julie. We also have a granddaughter Maggie, and another granddaughter on the way! We have 2 dogs; Roxy (Rottweiler) and Tali (Boxer).
