Mrs. Jesslyn Helton

Hi! My name is Jesslyn Helton and I teach Kindergarten at FAME.

I have been married to my husband for 11 years and we have a sweet 9-year-old boy and a rambunctious 2-year-old little girl. My husband and I both grew up locally in Madison County and have been Limestone County residents for 17 years. We love the small-town feel in Limestone County. In our free time, we enjoy family time outside, reading, and cheering on our children. We are a super active family bouncing between baseball, basketball, racing, and ballet.

After high school, I attended Martin Methodist College in Pulaski, TN, earning a Bachelor's in Teaching. I completed my Masters in Arts, Teaching at Dallas Baptist University in May 2018. My plan is to continue pursuing an Administration certificate. In addition to finishing my Masters's degree in May 2018, I also completed in-depth two-year training for CALT certification (Certified Academic Language Therapist) through the Shelton School in Dallas, TX. This is a Dyslexia Specific intervention and reading specialist certification that is highly sought after. Currently, I am in the process of completing my National Board Certified Teaching certification. I am very proud to be a part of this elite teacher organization that is considered the gold standard in education.

Teachers should always be positive influences in their student's lives. It is my hope to be (and build) a strong foundation on which their entire educational journey rests on.
