Mrs. Sandra Chambers
I have lived in Athens for the majority of my life with a few years in Birmingham and Nashville in between. My husband, Greg, and I have been married for 38 years and have 2 boys who are now men. Joseph is married with a precious baby girl ( my first grandchild ) and has a State Farm agency in Pelham, AL. Our other son, Braley and his wife life in Nashville while he is in Seminary.
I enjoy traveling, digging in my flower bed, and reading. My passion is my church’s mission work in Ghana, Africa and consider myself fortunate to have been 3 times in the last few years. My other passion is teaching reading.
I have both a liberal arts and learning disabilities degree from Athens State. I took additional classes and am highly qualified elementary. Within the last 2 years, I have participated in Orton Gillingham training to teach via multi-sensory methods. I taught for 5 years in Limestone County, stayed home with my boys for 9 years, and am in my 15th year with the city.
