Welcome to Athens Middle School! Thanks for landing on my page.

I am an 8th-grade science teacher. I have taught 6th-grade science for 6 years, 7th and 8th computer science for 2 years, and 6th math for one year.  The opportunity and choice to teach within the Athens City School district has been one of my greatest blessings. I love my job and I am passionate about teaching.

Teaching is my second career. After high school, I attended The University of Mississippi (Hotty Toddy) and obtained a B.A. in Business Administration with a major in marketing. After marketing for three years, a mission trip to Honduras inspired me to pursue my newly found dream of becoming an educator. In May of 2014, I graduated from Lipscomb University with an M.A.Ed. in Instructional Practice. Shortly after, I found a home and family with ACS. 

I currently reside in Pulaski, TN with my dog, Stella Blue. I enjoy reading, but I really enjoy listening to podcasts and audiobooks. I love traveling! Yes, I have a scratch-off map and goals for visiting all the National Parks. (Muir for President)
