Mrs. Sue Noah
Hello, I am Sue Noah. I graduated with an Early Childhood Education degree in 1992 from Auburn University and have a Master's degree from University of West Alabama. I received my National Boards in 2020. I currently teach first grade at Athens Elementary and this is my 18th year teaching in Alabama. I am a National Presidential Award Winner in Mathematics. I served on the State Math Standards Committee for the 2019 math standards. I presently work for University of West Alabama as an Intern Supervisor and a Signature Assessment Grader.
I am from Selma, Alabama and moved here in 1992 when I married my husband. I have been married for 30 years and we have 2 children. I have a son that lives in Birmingham and works for Ruskin Packaging and a daughter who works for Athens Hospital in radiology.
When I am not teaching school, I love to spend time with family and friends. My hobbies include aerobics and running! My favorite children's book is The Little Engine That Could. My favorite foods include Mexican and donuts! My favorite color is pink and I enjoy listening to country music. When I am not working, I enjoy watching the Hallmark channel. I LOVE to teach and watch my students grow socially and intellectually.
I always played school as a child and knew immediately that I wanted to be a teacher! I want to make a difference in the lives of as many students as I can. I enjoy helping struggling students reach their full potential and further the students that are already soaring. I believe all children can learn and be successful. I am an encourager for all and help children see their full potential. My passion is to make a difference in all of my students' lives and to leave footprints on their academic path. By doing what I love, I can inspire and awaken the hearts of others!
