Mrs. Julie Morgan

Hey! Welcome to the Eagles' Nest Preschool, my name is Julie Morgan and I am in my 3rd year of teaching preschool and my 23rd year teaching school.  My preschool room consists of Peer models and Special Needs 3 and 4 year old boys and girls. In here, we learn social skills, fine and gross motor skills and academics. Sensory toys and activities are used on a daily basis. The love and compassion that flows through my classroom is unbounding.

I graduated from Athens High School in 1988. (Forever a Golden Eagle!) I attended Calhoun Community College and then Athens State University where I was a cheerleader for the basketball team. (Go Big Blue!) I graduated from ASU in 1993 with a B. S. in Elementary Education. I began my teaching career in 1994 in Georgia teaching first grade. After a couple of years, my husband enlisted in the Air Force and we moved to California where I taught Kindergarten, third grade and special needs children. After his time in the service, we returned to Athens. I taught for a year at Clements High and then 5 years at West Limestone High. I transferred to Athens City in 2008 to Athens Elementary and plan to stay here until retirement. I just recently added Early Childhood to my Alabama Certificate, and accomplishment that I am proud of.

I have been married to Clay Morgan for 23 years. We have 4 beautiful girls, a son in law and one vary handsome grandson.

I became a teacher because I have always had a desire to work with children. A teacher's job is very hard but is also so rewarding, knowing I can brighten a child's day and just make a positive difference in their lives brings so much joy to my heart. I love to see them grow, physically, socially and academically!
