  Fee: $100.00/course (in-district)     $300/course (out-of-district)   Click to view ACS Summer Session Course List OVERVIEW Summer School is available to high school students (grades 9-12) who have not been successful in mastering content standards. Requirements include a high school core failure average below 40. This option enables students to repeat an entire previously failed core course. 

  • Required to attend class in person each day.
  • Limited to two courses per summer.
    • Courses are listed in order of importance.
    • First course must be completed before beginning the second course.
  • The NCAA does not accept credit recovery towards eligibility requirements.
  • Maximum grade that can be earned is 70.

DELIVERY OF INSTRUCTION ACS Summer School will use Odysseyware, a web-based program, to meet individual student needs. Instructors will be available to assist students June 5 - to June 29 (Monday-Thursday) from 9:00 AM  - 12:00 PM. After June 29, students will complete the course virtually. Entire course must be completed by noon on July 14 to receive credit.  ATTENDANCE Students ARE REQUIRED to attend class each day. Failing to attend class on time each day will result in forfeiting the credit recovery course and NO course credit can be earned. No exceptions! Please note, students will participate in eLearning on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.   APPLICATION AND PAYMENT Step 1 - Complete the following forms (both a Summer Session Application AND June Summer School Application are required)

Submit Summer Session Application and Summer School Class Application to Carla Parker, Athens High School Summer School Session Program Manager, in person or by email to carla.parker@acs-k12.org. Please include the payment receipt with the application.

Step 2 - Submit payment (online only).

ALL APPLICATIONS AND PAYMENTS ARE DUE BY June 1, 2023.
