Effective communication is a priority at Athens City Schools. The Office of Communications provides various services to the Athens community in support of school, district and community-wide communications. We strive to ensure that our stakeholders are kept abreast of all relevant happenings in our district. The primary purpose of the Office of Communications and Public Relations is to share the the story of Athens City Schools with our school family and greater Athens community. We deliver timely, relevant and meaningful information related to our schools, students, teachers and families and serve as the trusted resource for all things ACS. The department manages the school system's social media channels, websites and community mass messaging platform (Blackboard Connect). We are also responsible for brand management, use of logos, crisis communications, press releases, annual reports, district newsletters, media kits, advertising and marketing for the district.
