AHS Summer School
Overview
This summer session option is for Athens High School students (grades 9-12) who have not been successful in mastering content standards in a core course, earning a final average below 40. This option enables students to repeat an entire previously failed core course.
- Summer School will meet June 3 - June 27 (in-person) on Mondays - Thursdays from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Athens High School. IN PERSON ATTENDANCE REQUIRED. Failing to attend class on time each day will result in forfeiting the Summer School course and NO course credit can be earned. No exceptions! Please note, students will participate in eLearning on June 19 in observance of Juneteenth.
- After June 27, students will complete the course virtually. Entire course must be completed by noon on July 11 to receive credit.

Limit 2 courses per summer. Courses are listed in order of importance. First course must be completed before beginning the second course.
- Maximum grade that can be earned in AHS Summer School is 70.
- ACS Summer School will use Odysseyware, a web-based program, to meet individual student needs.
- No digital device will be provided for at home or school use. If an ACS device for summer school is desired, you must complete an ACS Device Application by June 3.
- Please park in Parking Lot D (north parking lot) and enter near the cafeteria.

- $150/additional course

STEP 1 - Complete the following forms (both the Summer Session and Summer School Application are required).

Submit Summer Session Application and Summer School Application to Carla Parker, Athens High School Summer School Session Program Manager, in person or by email to carla.parker@acs-k12.org. Please include the payment receipt with the application.
Please proceed to STEP 2 below for AHS Summer School Payment.
