  • AHS Legacy Bricks

    The Athens City Schools Foundation invites you to become a permanent part of the new Athens High School by purchasing a commemorative brick to recognize students, teachers, family and friends in the Athens community. Engraved on your brick can be a family name, current student, alumni, teacher, staff member, business or organization. You can choose to honor someone special or place a brick in memory of a loved one. Click here to learn more.

  • Winter Weather Makeup Days

    School will be in session on February 19, March 30 and April 20. These are winter weather makeup days. Parents should speak with the school principal to discuss any scheduling conflicts prior to the date of conflict.

  • Paws for Books Bookfair will be February 26th - March 2nd during the school day. 

    Green Eggs and Ham will be served for lunch on March 2nd and guest are invited to come and eat with students and try Green Eggs and Ham.

  • Kindergarten Academy Showcase March 1st at pm


    Athens City Schools will host an Academy Showcase for rising kindergarten students joining the ACS family. This special event is scheduled for Thursday, March 1st at 6:00 pm at the Board of Education central office in the board room.  The purpose of the showcase is to allow families of kindergarten students entering fall 2018 to preview the Athens Academies and speak with academy leaders.
