State Report Cards

2024-2025 Report Card Overview

The Alabama State Department of Education recently released the 2024-2025 State Report Card for schools and districts across the state. The report card reflects components such as academic achievement, academic growth, chronic absenteeism, graduation rate, college and career readiness, and more. We have seven schools, plus the district, on the A/B Honor Roll! Five schools earned A's, and two schools, along with the district, earned a B. We are proud of all our schools for making gains and holding strong! The dedication of our teachers, staff and administration, combined with the involvement of our parents and the support of our community, plays a vital role in the achievements of our students.

Athens City Schools - B/88 (2 point increase from previous year)
Athens High School - B/84 (1 point increase from previous year)
Athens Middle School - C/79 (3 point increase from previous year)
Athens Intermediate School - A/91 (8 point increase from previous year)
Athens Renaissance School - A/92 (holding strong)
FAME Academy at Brookhill Elementary - A/97 (holding strong)
Julian Newman Elementary School - A/95 (holding strong)
Athens Elementary School - A/90 (holding strong)
SPARK Academy at Cowart Elementary - B/81 (7 point increase from previous year)
Renaissance Virtual School - Federal C/70 and State D/69 (As a first-year school, key measures such as graduation rate and College and Career Readiness were not included in the initial assessment, which tempers the early results. However, as these indicators are incorporated moving forward, scores are expected to rise, providing a more comprehensive picture of student progress and success.)
