We are excited to be in one of the fastest-growing areas in the state and strive to continuously prepare for the increase in enrollment in our school community.

Our new Athens High School opened in 2019. This 260,000 square foot, state-of-the-art building houses over 1200 students.
- iAcademy at Athens Elementary moved into their brand new home in January 2023. This beautiful 66,000 square foot school accommodates up to 600 students.
- ACS broke ground on the HEART Academy at Julian Newman Elementary School construction project on March 20, 2024. This innovative, 85,000 square foot school will accommodate over 700 students. We look forward to welcoming our HEART Academy at JNES students to their new home in the fall of 2025.
- Work is underway at Athens Intermediate School to add 8 classrooms and a gym with a storm shelter. This addition should be complete by January 2025.
It’s a busy and exciting time in One Athens.
