Hi there! As a Title I Resource Teacher, it's a pleasure to serve the students of iAcademy at Athens Elementary. I've been teaching for over 30 years. I have taught first and third grade. I've been a building Reading Coach and a Regional Reading Coach for the State of Alabama with the Reading Initiative. Now I teach reading and math to students in kindergarten through third grade.

I was born and raised in North Alabama. I am fortunate to have most of my family in this area, including my son, Brian Nelson, daughter-in-law, Carly, and grandsons, Cole and Parker. 

I love reading, boating, rock climbing, playing with my dog, and gardening.
