Our Athens City Schools Board of Education approved the 2026-2027 academic calendar at the December 2025 board meeting. You can also view the district calendar at acs-k12.org/calendar.

Bus service is available only for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Bus service is not available for students at Athens High School, Athens Renaissance School, or Pre-K.

As we begin the second year of implementing the Alabama FOCUS Act, we want to remind students, employees and families that this statewide law prohibits student use of cell phones, smartwatches, AirPods, and other wireless communication devices throughout the instructional school day.
