Our Athens City Schools Board of Education approved the 2026-2027 academic calendar at the December board meeting. You can also view the district calendar at acs-k12.org/calendar.

Welcome! We are happy you have chosen to enroll your child in ACS. Kindergarten Registration opens Monday, February 23, and runs through Friday, March 13.

Pre-K Registration Deadline - 3/9
Preparing children for success begins early. Athens City Schools is proud to offer two Pre-K programs: Alabama First Class Pre-K and Eagles Nest Inclusion Pre-K. Each program has its own unique admission requirements, application, tuition, and selection process. Application window closes on March 9.
K-8 Bus Transportation
Bus service is available only for students in Kindergarten through 8th grade. Bus service is not available for students at Athens High School, Athens Renaissance School, or Pre-K.
