  • Summer Hours Summer Office Hours at Central Office Monday-Thursday, 8-4 The Athens City Schools Board of Education Central Office remains closed to the public.   • Summer Session Apply for Summer Session 2020 by June 4 Summer Session 2020 registration is now open! The deadline to apply/register is June 4. Summer Session is available to ACS and Out-of-District students in grades 7-12. We offer two types of optional Summer Session courses: (1) Credit Recovery and (2) Credit Advancement. Driver's Ed is available with limited capacity.

  • AHS Cheer Athens cheer teams compete for national titles The Athens Cheer Program is sending two teams of 58 student-athletes to the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Florida during February to compete for national titles.   • pre k Pre-K Registration for 2020-2021 Registration for Pre-K for the 2020-2021 school year will begin in late January 2020. ACS offers two Pre-K programs. One is the Alabama First Class Pre-K Program and the second is the Eagles Nest Pre-K. First Class Pre-K registration is January 15-March 24, 2020.
