Athens City Schools received an Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) grant for the 2004-2005 school year.  This grant enabled Athens City Schools to hire a full time Instructional Technology Specialist and offer a wide variety of technology professional development.  Since then we have been able to continue prociding support to our teachers through the work of the Instructional Technology Specialist. There are many training opportunities available for Athens City teachers and staff.  The main goal of our technology professional development is to increase the use of technology as a teaching tool.  We support teachers in developing technology infused lesson plans and project-based learning.

Several of our teachers have worked diligently to align the Alabama Technology Course of Study to existing curriculum standards. The following links are the documents containing the scope and sequence for each grade band:
